Higuain On His Way???

From JUSTARSENAL.COM
If the Arsenal fans wanted the club to be linked to some big name transfers this summer, there is no need to complain at the minute. Being linked with some good players, such as Wayne Rooney, Gonzalo Higuain, Stevan Jovetic and others is all very well, but actually signing one of them is what we really want.

The fans may disagree about which of these players we want, but they are all highly regarded and I think most of us would be fairly happy as long as one of them comes to the Emirates. We have got to believe that Arsene Wenger knows what he is doing and will do his best for the club. Having said that, he may not be able to pick and choose, but will instead sign the first of his targets that is properly available.
In that case, it is looking like Higuain is the favourite to become a Gunner soon. According to The Mirror, Arsenal are getting very close to sealing the transfer with his club Real Madrid. The president of the Spanish giants was unhappy about the way his striker told the press he would be leaving, insisting that nobody had met their valuation for the Argentinean international, but behind the scenes he has accepted that Higuain is on the way out. Zidane said this week that Benzema was the future of the club, which he would not have done if he thought Higuain might still play for them next season.

The striker has already said that he would be happy to move to Arsenal, or Juventus who are also interested. The Italians are trying to do things on the cheap though, apparently, which has opened the door for Wenger to wrap up the move by offering a little over £20 million. Personally, I think that Higuain is the striker we want. Jovetic, for me, is not the finisher that the team needs, while Rooney is too expensive and could cause disruption in the dressing room.
